Captain Erick Foster was killed in combat in August of 2007. Erick was a warrior, a leader, and an inspiration to anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. He set the example for everyone he encountered: full of energy, an amazing teammate and a soldier’s soldier. Erick personified the terms Service and Sacrifice.

Rose Brennan was the matriarch of the Brennan family who raised 8 children. She was the proud Grandmother of 17 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren. She was also a devoted member of Saint Anne’s Parish Church. Rose served her country as a proud Mother of her sons who also served. Tom and Denny, both U.S. Army served in Vietnam. Tom was also a Firefighter, Joe a Police Officer, and Sean a Police Detective who also served on the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force and currently serves as Superior Court Security. Rose loved having family around her, she enjoyed a good cup of tea and “other” spirits and she loved listening to Irish music.

He served in WWII for 2 years, he made 2 landings, once in Italy, once in Southern France, he received 2 Purple Hearts, one in Italy, one in Southern France, he received 2 Bronze Stars, one in Italy, one in Southern France. His story ended with “that’s it.” His secret to a long life was Peace and Quiet.

CPT Connor J. Bednarzyk was an inspiring and proud product of the Buckingham Community. He spent his elementary and secondary educational years in the Central Bucks School District and participated in local youth sports programs. The encouragement and mentorship Connor received in his formative years provided him the foundation to follow his passions. Connor was determined, hardworking, and a true team player. As a student and Army Officer he embraced his Buckingham roots by demonstrating leadership, compassion, and inclusiveness. As an Army Ranger, CPT Bednarzyk’s wise and humble character made him a natural and admired leader to those under his command. A lover of music, Connor often entertained his family and friends with the piano and guitar. CPT Bednarzyk was killed on September 7, 2018 during a training mission near Ft. Benning, Georgia. With full military honors, CPT Bednarzyk was laid to rest at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, reflecting his long-held wish to return to his native Bucks County.

Neale H. Deibler served in United States Navy Aviation as a crewman (Photographers Mate, Cameraman, Petty Officer 3rd Class) with FAW PAC VF61and FAW Lant VAP-62 during the Korean War.
Neale was a Life Member of VFW Post 6493, Warminster and was State Commander of the Department of Pennsylvania VFW in 1994-95. He also served on numerous state and national committees, the VFW National Council of Administration in 2001-2003 and the VFW PAC.
He was a retired aerial survey pilot, having worked all over the United States and on every continent except Antarctica. He also owned a Penn Jersey Auto Parts Store. He was the loving husband of Marlyne (Hippo) Deibler for fifty-seven years.

Isadore Reinheimer was a World War I Marine Veteran wounded at Chateau Thierry. After he recovered, he returned to the front line where he was gassed in the battle of the Marne. He was discharged from the military in 1919 and joined the Philadelphia Police Department. Officer Reinheimer served 13 years on the Police Force. He died in the line of duty, at age 36.

Richard served as Command Sergeant Major for HHT/2 – 104 CAV Pennsylvania National Guard and has served his country since 1984. Rick had a special gift of mentoring others whether they were civilian or military. He was a member of the Rotary Club of Central Bucks and loved lighthouses, sailing and spending time at the beach. Rick especially enjoyed being grandpa to his 17 month old grandson.

Pat loved horses, she spent twenty years running her horse boarding business Elmwood Farm in New Hope, PA. Pat was the heart of the farm. Pat was a selfless person. She possessed endless amounts of love that she gave to her family, friends, and the many people that entrusted their horses to her care, and animals both big and small. Pat welcomed all to her farm with a heartfelt conversation, jokes, laughter, and a delicious home-cooked Italian meal.

Craig is a veteran of the peacetime, serving as a Private First Class in the Army from January 1956 to January 1958, first at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri and then at Schofield Barracks. In 2007 he was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). In 2008 ALS was determined to be a service-connected disability. Since 2011 Craig has been 100% disabled by the disease, without use of his extremities and breathing with the help of a ventilator. He is cared for at home by his wife, Roberta Spivek, who is a Shamrock Reins participant, with the help of nurses contracted through the VA. Despite his situation, he enjoys watching movies, going on “wheelchair walks” to a park, skyping with his twin grandsons, and seeing pictures of Roberta with Ebony and the other horses at Shamrock Reins.

Edith Findlay was known for her love of flowers, sewing, and animals, especially cats and dogs. Both her father and brother served in the U.S. Army, and she was also a proud mother of 2 U.S. Army Soldiers.
Edith loved sending cards to everyone in her “birthday book.” She met her husband of 72 years at a church, which they regularly attended. She raised 4 children with him, and her family and her church were the most important things in her life. Edith loved everyone, and everyone loved her.

Hugh was a dedicated Volunteer at Shamrock Reins. He enjoyed being around our Horses and the team. Hugh was always happy while at Shamrock Reins and was willing to do anything to help. He passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 5, 2024, surrounded by family. We are saddened by his passing and miss him. A Memorial Plaque in his memory has been erected at Shamrock Reins.

Gary Reich grew up in Valley Forge PA, as a twin. After high school, he served four years of service in the Marines. During that time, he learned machinery and took care of helicopters during the Viet Nam War. He married while stationed in Okinawa, and later his daughter Janet was born. After his time in the Marines, he used his skills maintaining machinery in potato chip factories. Flash forward, to the birth of Stacy’s Pita Chips. Gary was Stacy’s right hand man, helping to keep her growing business and machines functional. She was very good to him and helped him thru some tough times that impacted him due to his time in the Marines. Gary loved ham radio and competed in many world wide competitions. After his father’s death, he was able to carry on the Reich call name of W3MKT. Gary died too young in 2013, shortly after retirement.
